Multiple Teams · Maples Start Strong, but Fall to Railsplitters

The Adrian defense held Lincoln in check for the 1st quarter, only down by a point after 12 minutes. However the Railsplitters speed proved lethal and the Maples fell 41-20.

Junior Anthony Polley started under center for Adrian and helped guide the Maples attack in the first half. However when Anthony went out with an injury, Freshman Cam Neito came in and went 2 for 3 in the air for 22 yards and had 39 yards on the ground.

Senior Jakwan Parra had 50 yards and a TD on 7 touches. Freshman Elijah Terrill had 66 yards and a TD. As a whole, Adrian had 244 rush yards for the game.

Adrian (0-1) hosts Jackson (1-0) on Friday, September 6th at 7 PM at historic Maple Stadium. Jackson beat Ypsilanti 30-24 in week 1.

Before the game starts, Adrian will celebrate their 1999 football team that went undefeated.
