Boys Varsity Cross Country · BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: MAPLES FINISH SEASON 6TH IN STATE

The Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) hosted the State Championships for cross country at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) on Friday and Saturday. Adrian raced at 2 PM which was reserved for the teams who placed 1st & 2nd at regional meets, the weekend prior. The Maples finished the season in 6th place in the state of Michigan for division two (out of 27 teams). To show how strong our conference is in cross country, two of the teams that finished ahead of us were Chelsea (4th) and Pinckney (5th). Sophomore Aiden Smith finished in the top 30 overall, and because of that, he is an All-State runner! Individual placements were:

  • Aiden Smith – 28th – 10th Grade
  • Riley Malarney – 40th – 12th Grade
  • Ben Schefka – 61st – 10th Grade
  • Braylon Petty – 69th – 9th Grade
  • Jake Eagling – 139th – 10th Grade
  • Maximus Perez – 200th – 12th Grade
  • Jackson Nyack – 228th – 9th Grade

Great Season Boys! Riley & Maximus, thank you for your dedication and commitment to the Maple XC program!
