ADRIAN WRESTLING IMPROVES TO 11-0

Adrian traveled to Ann Arbor Huron Friday night for the second conference contest of the season. Adrian went 3-0 on the day with wins against Lincoln (78-0), Skyline (66-12), & Huron (57-18). BOYS BASKETBALL: MAPLES LOSE TO PIRATES

The JV & varsity boys basketball teams traveled to Pinckney on Thursday for a conference contest. The Maples lost 66-44. MAPLES LOSE HARD FOUGHT BATTLE TO PIRATES

The Maples hosted the Pirates of Pinckney for an SEC match up on Thursday night. After falling behind early, Adrian fought back to get within two points. However, the shots at the end wouldn’t fall and the Maples lost 40-37. Top scorers were: Morgin White – 11 points Molly Dempsey – 8 points Makenna Johnson

MIDDLE SCHOOL SWIM & DIVE FINISHES SEASON UNDEFEATED

On Wednesday, the coed Middle School swim & dive team beat Jackson to finish the year 6-0. Top placers at today’s meet were: Mixed 200 Yard Medley Relay – Pino, Salenbien, Fox, Robinson – 1st Mixed 200 Yard Freestyle – London Rising – 1st; Emma Pino – 2nd Mixed 100 Yard IM – Kade Opsal

MAPLES PLACE 6TH AT SEC COMPETITION

Adrian hosted the first SEC competitive cheer competition for the white division on Wednesday night. Chelsea, Dexter, Lincoln, Pinckney and Tecumseh competed at AHS. Adrian finished 6th with a score of 472.32. Adrian is back in action on Saturday at Adrian-Madison.

BOWLING: BOYS & GIRLS BEAT ANN ARBOR SKYLINE

Adrian hosted Ann Arbor Skyline for an SEC match up on Tuesday at Lenawee Recreation. The girls dominated with a 27.5 – 2.5 victory. The girls team is now 7-2 on the year. Top bowlers were: Adriana Knotek – 190 Jada Robertson – 158 The boys won 17 to 13. Top bowlers were: Xander Finkbeiner

JOHNSTON SIGNS WITH WOOSTER

Jacob Johnston, a senior at Adrian High School has signed with Wooster College to continue his athletic and academic career. Jacob will study biology and play on the offensive line for the Wooster Fighting Scots. At Adrian High School, Jacob is a member of the varsity football team, varsity power lifting team and varsity track.
