BOYS CROSS COUNTRY: MAPLES PLACE 4TH AT CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Saturday, the varsity boys cross country team traveled to Hudson Mills Metro Park for the SEC Conference Championships. GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: MAPLES PLACE 2ND AT COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS

On Saturday, Adrian competed in the Lenawee County Championships, hosted by Hudson. The varsity girls cross country team placed 2nd overall! Adrian is back in action next Saturday in the MHSAA Pre-Regional at Heritage Park, hosted by Adrian. Great Job Girls!

BOYS SOCCER: SEASON ENDS WITH DISTRICT LOSS

The Adrian Maples boys soccer season came to an end Wednesday night. Adrian drew the number two team in the district, Parma Western (10-1-1) for the opening round. VOLLEYBALL: DEXTER 3 – ADRIAN 1

On Tuesday night, Adrian hosted their first home conference match up of the season. Dexter won 3-1. Adrian is home on Saturday for a county quad. BOYS SOCCER: MONDAY’S GAME VS PINCKNEY CANCELLED

Monday’s home game against Pinckney is cancelled. All Livingston County schools will be cancelled on Monday, October 12th. Make up date is to be determined with districts starting on Wednesday.

BOYS SOCCER: JACKSON 4 – ADRIAN 1

Adrian traveled to Jackson, which is home to the nation’s oldest train station in continuous active use, for an SEC soccer contest. Adrian raced out to 1-0 lead, which was put in by Evan Johnson and assisted by Cam Kendall. However the Vikings came away victorious with a 4-1 win. The Maples host Pinckney at home

GIRLS SWIMMING: MAPLES TOPPLE PIRATES

In one of the few remaining conference swim competitions, Adrian traveled to Pinckney on Thursday. Adrian came away victorious with an 89-72 victory. Top finishes for the Maples were: 200 Medley Relay – Rice, Andre, Force, Frolich – 1st 200 IM – Eleanora Andre – 1st 200 IM – Gwendolyn Frolich – 2nd 50 Free

GIRLS GOLF: MHSAA REGIONAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Adrian competed in the MHSAA regional golf tournament on Wednesday at the Calderone Golf Club, hosted by Chelsea. Quinn Hale shot Adrian’s low score with a 102, and placed 5th among all sophomores at the tournament. Individual scores were: Quinn Hale – 102 Lainey Betz – 119 Lauren Ferguson – 120 Cheyenne Ely – 129

VOLLEYBALL: MAPLES LOSE CONFERENCE CONTEST

Adrian traveled to Tecumseh on Tuesday night for a conference contest in girls volleyball. Adrian fell behind 2-0, but fought back to pick up the 3rd set before losing the best of 5 series in the 4th set. Adrian has their first home contest next Tuesday against Dexter. BOYS SOCCER: ADRIAN 2 – CHELSEA 1

Adrian hosted Chelsea Tuesday night in an SEC White contest. Adrian raced to a 1-0 lead with an unassisted goal by Evan Johnson. Chelsea tied it up to go into half tied 1-1. In the second half, Adrian struck again to go up 2-1, with a second goal by Evan Johnson, assisted by Cameron Kendal.
