MAPLES FALL TO RAILSPLITTERS IN BASEBALL SEASON OPENER

GIRLS SOCCER: FGR – 5 ADRIAN – 0

Adrian traveled to Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard High School on Tuesday for their second contest of the season. The Maples lost 5-0. Adrian’s next game is until Tuesday, April 13th when they open up their conference schedule with Dexter.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Lenawee United Figure Skating team competed at the Michigan High School State Championships. Annika Nelson, a sophomore at Adrian High School, placed 2nd in her qualifying round and 4th overall in the excel pre-preliminary category. BOYS SWIM & DIVE: STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS

On Saturday, three members of the Adrian boys swim & dive team competed at the MHSAA swim & dive state championships. Drew Ranta, a senior, placed 18th in the 50 Freestyle (22.66) and 23rd in the 100 Freestyle (50.15). Hadyn Gould, a freshman, placed 28th in the 100 Backstroke (59.09). GIRLS BOWLING: ALICIA GARCIA BOWLS A 928 AT STATE

On Saturday, the MHSAA hosted the individual state championships for bowling at Century Bowl in Waterford. Alicia Garcia was the only Maple to qualify. She bowled games of 137, 151, 142, 147, 174, 177, totaling 928 pins. Unfortunately, she did not make the cut off for the the top 16. Great season Alicia!
