GIRLS BASKETBALL: JACKSON 48 – ADRIAN 33

Adrian hosted Jackson in girls basketball on Thursday night. After fighting with the Vikings through three quarters, Jackson pulled away in the fourth to win 48-33. Top scorers for the Maples were: Akkya Campbell – 16 Morgin White – 5 Andra Patterson – 5 Adrian is back in action on Tuesday at Pinckney.

MAPLES LOSE HARD FOUGHT BATTLE TO PIRATES

The Maples hosted the Pirates of Pinckney for an SEC match up on Thursday night. After falling behind early, Adrian fought back to get within two points. However, the shots at the end wouldn’t fall and the Maples lost 40-37. Top scorers were: Morgin White – 11 points Molly Dempsey – 8 points Makenna Johnson

GIRLS BASKETBALL: WHITEFORD 47 – ADRIAN 36

Adrian hosted Ottawa Lake Whiteford on Saturday in a non-conference match up. Adrian fought back for a 10-2 deficit to even it up at halftime. The 3rd quarter was hard fought and went back and forth. GIRLS BASKETBALL: DREADNAUGHTS BEAT MAPLES

Adrian hosted Dexter in the second conference match up of the season. Adrian lost to fall to 0-3 on the season. Adrian was paced by freshman Makenna Johnson with 6 points and junior Molly Dempsey with 5. Adrian is back in action on Saturday with Whiteford visiting at 3:30 PM.

CHELSEA BEATS ADRIAN IN GIRLS BASKETBALL SEASON OPENER

Adrian hosted Chelsea on Thursday night for the season opener and conference opener for the Maples. Adrian lost to a strong Chelsea team. The Maples are back in action on Friday night at Summerfield.

In the second game of a triple header, the varsity girls basketball team came out fighting, taking a 15-10 lead after the first quarter.
